This is a list of everything that we really do as a family! This is based on our personal experience and how much we really enjoy doing all this. we hope you can pick something from our list and try it out with your precious littles!
1. MUSIC TIME
Spend some time together listening to music and playing an instrument. We do this a lot as a family. This is so therapeutic. Definitely our favorite time together.
2. GRATITUDE CIRCLE
We do this activity every day and it takes less than 5 minutes. You just need to sit together and take turns to say
what you are grateful for. Each person gets to go 5 times. Ex. I am grateful for little Veer, I am grateful for the beautiful morning, etc.
3. ASK ME ANYTHING?
This is again a really simple way to bond and to get to know each other and the world around you. The questions can be general questions like what is your favorite color or more specific like name the national bird.
4. SHOPPING FOR GROCERIES
I always involve my son, Veer when I am ordering groceries and sometimes we do it together as a family. This is how Veer learnt about the different fruits, vegetables and pulses
5. PRETEND PLAY
Pretend play is a great way to expose your child to different and new experiences. We sometimes do pretend
picnic in our balcony, go to the space together, discover the underwater world together.
6. FAMILY DRIVE
Going on a drive together is so much fun. You can listen to good music, chat, observe and spot new things and also munch on some tasty snacks. We don’t do this very often but it is always fun when we manage to do it.
7. COOK TOGETHER AS A FAMILY
Cooking is a great way to bond not just as a couple but also as a family. Can involve your child in activities like pealing, washing, laying the dishes, wiping the plates, etc.
8. BOARD GAMES
Board games are a great way to bond and learn together. I love board games and this for sure is my favorite way to spend family time together. We play games like snakes and ladders, clean hand and dirty hands, feed the hungry hippo, feed the hungry animals, and so many more.
9. TEMPLE VISIT
We love visiting the temple, specially little Veer. Pre-covid we visited the temple every Saturday. We still try to go as often as we can. Great way to bond and tell stories about mythology to your little ones.
